UNITY SCHEME

ANOTHER “RALLY” ON SUNDAY. * BULLETIN TO BE PUBLISHED. The Uijiity Congress committee met yesterday afternoon, when final arrangements were made in connection with the Labour “rally” to be held in His Majesty’s Theatre on Sunday. Mr D. McLaren will bo asked to preside, and the following are to bo asked to speak: Messrs Tregear, Mills, Young, Ross, Hickey, Hindmarsh, Earland, Noot, Carey, Mack, and Hampton, and Mrs Donaldson. 'The manner in which the various Labour organisations have responded to the appeal of the committee regarding the unity scheme has exceeded expectations, and many of the unions that were not represented at the January conference have signified their intention of sending delegates to the July conference. ' The committee also decided to issue a monthly bulletin, which will be distributed throughout New Zealand, and arrangements are now being made for its publication. Professor Mills will be editor of the bulletin, and its object will be the furtherance of the unity scheme.
