FIRE ON STEAMER
CARGO CONSIDERABLY DAMAGED. (Received February 24, 9.5 p-m.) SYDNEY, February 24. A cable received by the Underwriters’ Association states that the steamer Whakarua, en route-for Australia and New Zealand, arrived at Capetown for survey. Her cargo is considerably damaged by fire.
