WORKING MEN'S CLUB

One of the most successful concerts held in the 'Wellington Workingmen's Club took place last ‘ night, when the social hall was packed to the doors. Tho attraction was the appearance of the “Follies,” who had been playing before large audiences at the Town Hall during the week. This clever company provided a splendid programme: the members were in firstclass voioe, and every item received triple encores. Mr Branson superintended the stage arrangements, and the accompaniments were ably played ty Butler. The club’s orchestra, under the baton of Mr John McGlashan, played the opening overture ; n capital style. It is proposed to hold monthly Sunday evening concerts during the winter.
