ARTILLERY SPORTS

No. 3 Company of the Wellington Garrison. Artillery Territorials held a sports meeting under tbe Wellington Amateur Association rules yesterday afternoon. The results were as follow: Hundred Yards Scratch—Sergeant Gow, 1; Gunner Gilchrist, 2. Quarter-mile—Sergeant Gow, 1; Gunner Gilchrist, 3. One Mile —Bombardier Allen, 1; Gunner Hodge, 2. Wheelbarrow Race—Gunners Laurenson and Morton, 1; Gunner Gilchrist and Sergeant Wallace, 2. One Mile Walk—Corporal Parker, 1; Bombardier Hughes, 2. ■ Long Jump—Gunner Morrison, 1; Corporal Parker, 2. Distance covered 18ft Tin. At the conclusion of the sports the non-commissioned officers played the gunners at Rugby, the latter winning by 3 points to nil.
