Press -Association. AUCKLAND, February 21. The steamer Star of Ireland, which arrived from New York last night, encountered a fierce storm on Christmas Jive. Huge seas swept across the vessel. The lifeboats on the weather were stove in. The vessel was hove to for some hours.
