It is estimated that thirteen million pounds is invested in the United Kingdom in kinematograph shows, to which there are twenty-eight million visitors weekly. SHOWMEN’S PROTEST.' SYDNEY, February 21. A meeting of the Picture Showmen’s Association carried a strong protest against the film amalgamation’s alleged attempt to prevent the purchase of films outside the amalgamation.
