HAVELOCK GIRLS’ COLLEGE
APPEAL FOR FURTHER'SUPPORT. Press Association. DANNEVTRKE, February 21. Tho Rev. A. Grant, hon. secretary of the committee endeavouring to raise funds for founding a girls’ college at Havelock North, under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church, has addrete sed a circular letter to all Presbyterian ministers, appealing for support of the proposal. Between £2OOO f and £3OOO has been secured already, but unless another £2OOO is immediately forthcoming the success of the proposal will- bo endangered. Miss Fraser, principal-elect, who offered her services, must be informed by March whether the building is to be proceeded with for opening in February next year, otherwise she will withdraw her offer. The site for the college was given by Mr H. M. Campbell, M.P., on condition that the college was built within a year.
