SIGHT COMPLETELY LOST
MOTHER’S HATPINS STICK IN DAUGHTER’S EYE. Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 21. A distressing accident which happened at Mount Eden this morning resulted in a child losing the sight of one of her eyes. Her mother, who was getting ready to go out, was about to put on her hat. She had two hatpins in her hand. Not noticing tee pins the child ran against teem, and they entered the eye. Medical aid was at once summoned, but the little sufferer’s eye was so badly injured that she has lost the sight of it.
