RIFLE SHOOTING
THE TRBNTHAM MEETING. At the Trentham championship meeting next week the Karori Rifie Club will bo represented by the following: .President Marshall, Deputy-President Judd, Riflemen Croxton, Bow, Faulknor, Jones, Grimstone, Burns, Coker, Carney, Handed, Cassells, Chimside, Willoughby, Piimmer, Caldwell, Halpin, Street, Lower, Rulford, and Richardson. President H. Marshall (Karori), of the Dominion Rifle Association executive committee, has made arrangements tor a film to Iba taken of the most interesting parts of the meeting. These pictiu'es will no doubt be shown in the Dominion at an early date, and should give the public an interesting idea of the nature of the work done at our national rifle meeting. A large number of entries have come to hand for the meeting, and it is anticipated that this year's "Bisley” will bo pretty well as big a gathering as that of last year. The stall will be as follows: Colonel K. J. Collins, 143.0. V.D. (chief executive officer); ineut--Coi-onei R. Hughes. V.D. (superintendent range officer); Colonel J. R. Purdy (medical- officer); Captain Saddle (in charge of R.N.Z.A. detachment). Captain 8. A. Grant (camp adjutant). Captain F. B. Mabin (quartermaster). Captain S. Bolton (statistical officer). Captain J. G. Roach© (secretary). Rang© officers: Majors Harper, McNaught, Bsson, Corrigan, Matheson, Beere and Barrett, Captains Hamilton, Finn is, McMillan, Salter, McLean, Hall, Chapman, Brandon, Williams and Wallingford, Lieutenants Pouil, Cooke and Rose. There will also be several New Zealand stall officers as range officers. The postal authorities have made arrangements for the post and telegraph office to bo opened on the range as from Wednesday. There will also -be a money order omce on tno range for the convenience of tlie competitors. A tent will be erected adjacent to.the post office for the use of persons wishing to write telegrams. Captain handle of the R.N.Z.A. will again bo in charge of the B N.Z.A. detachment of 80 men, who will arrive on the rifle .range on Monday for the purpose of pitching the camp, ito B N Z A. men will act as markers and this will no doubt be acceptable news to the competitors.
