TO COPE WITH POST OFFICE TRAFFIC. (Received February 20, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 20. la tie House of Commons yesterday Mr Herbert Samuel, Postmaster-Gene-ral, gave notice -to introduce a Bill to carry out the- construction of .the Post Office tube railway scheme outUned in hia statement to the, House in May last. In placing his report on the work of the Post Office .Department for the previous year Air Samuel, on. 20th last, that owing to the enormous growth of the service the conetrootion of a State tube railway was contemplated. It would run east and west from the General Post Office in King Edward street, and would be utilised for the conveyance of mails and parcels.
