TRADE RECIPROCITY
PROPOSED CONFERENCE TO DISCUSS. MELBOURNE, February 20. Mr Tudor, Federal Minister for Trade and Customs, proposes that the question of trade reciprocity bo discussed at an Empire Trade Conference. The Hon. F. M. B. Fisher, New Zealand’s Minister of Customs, is coming over from New Zealand, and Mr Foster, Canadian Minister for Trade and Customs, will also bo present, and possibly a South African representative. Mr Tudor holds that “industrial conditions in New Zealand and Canada are nearly the same as our own, and the question of trade relations with those countries is worthy of discussion. We may find that there are things one may produce that the other does not, and an agreement would be mutually beneficial.” He hopes for a good result from the conference.
