TERRITORIAL INQUIRY

Press Association. MASTERTON. February 20. . A court of inquiry was held to-night into the circumstances attending the Territorial strike which took place in November last. Lengthy evidence was taken, and will be remitted to the officer commanding. The general complaint of the men was that Lieutenant Hirsberg had been appointed to the company from the ambulance corps without previous training. The men were of opinion that one of their own corps should have been selected for the position. The whole of the winesses repudiated the suggestion that either social or political influence had been used in respect to the appointment.
