A fellow-officer with Captain Oates in the Inniakilling Dragoons says that Oates was the most stalwart man and the best officer bo ever knew. At the meeting of Victoria College Council last night a motion of condolence with the relatives of the ill-fated Antarctic ‘ party was passed. A subcommittee was appointed to frame an appropriate tribute on the subject.
