LOUIS BECKE’S DEATH

FOUND DEAD IN BED. SYDNEY, February 19. Louis Becke was found dead in bed at the York Hotel, where he had been staying. Ho had evidently been working before retiring to bed, as there wore freshly-written sheets of manuscript on a table in his_ room. Mr Becke had been in ill-health for some time, suffering from an affection of the throat, but ho had paid several visits on Monday. HIGH TRIBUTES IN PRESS. (Received February 19, 11.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 19. Tho newspapers pay high tributes to Louis Becke.
