« From Our Own Correspondent. February 18. Mrs Kirkland leaves here on Friday for Sydney. Mr A. G. Mason, of Shannon, has been appointed inspector for the Advances to Settlers Department. Mr J. R. Stansell will shortly hold a meeting in Shannon with a view to forming a town board. Our local Amateur Dramatic Society produced “The Private Secretary” to a crowded house on Wednesday night. The proceeds are to be devoted towards tho erection of a pavilion on the Recreation Reserve.
