CONFERENCE CONCLUDED. Press Association. TIMARU, February ID. Tho Congregational Union concluded its conference to-day. Among those elected were: President, the Hon. G. Fowlds; secretary. Rev. G. H. Mackenzie; assistant, E. A. Bridger; treasurer, T. W. ‘White (all of Auckland) ; organising secretary, London Missionary Society, Rev. A. E. Hunt (Timaru). Hon. G. Fowlds, who leaves ou a visit to England shortly, has been authorised to negotiate with the Colonial Missionary Society for assistance to the extent of £2OOO towards a fund of £IO,OOO proposed to be raised for church extension. Rev. W. H. Lyon, on relinquishing the treasurership, was elected a life member, and it was decided to establish a bursary for training students as a memorial to his valuable services. An address of congratulation, loyalty, and good wishes was adopted to send to his Excellency the Governor.
