WEDDINGS
At All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North Mr Albert Edward Webib. eldest son of the late Mr Albert Webb, of Waldegravo street, Palmerston North, was married to Miss Mary Sarah Rowland, eldest daughter of the late Mr H. Rowland, of Joseph street. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr W. Rowland, of Wellington, was in a dress of crepe de chine, trimmed with guipure lace. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet. The chief .bridesmaid was Miss M. Rowland, sister of tho bride. She wore a cream taffeta dress, trimmed with Oriental lace, and picture hat. The other bridesmaid was Miss G. Rowland, who wore white silk, trimmed with lace. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr W. H. Webb, as best man. The wedding was celebrated at the Anglican Church, Martinborough, on February 10th, of Miss Pearlie Beveridge and Mr F. Holland, The Rev. Mr Bond officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a gown of oream poplin, and bridal veil, and carried a bouquet of flowers. She was attended by Miss Kelly as bridesmaid, who was dressed in a frock of whit© silk and carried a bouquet. Mr C. J. Beveridge, cousin of the bride, was beet man. The occasion was also the celebration of tho silver wedding of the Vnride’s parents. The wedding took place in the Methodist Church, Cambridge, on February sth, of Miss Edith A. Oubis, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Cubis, Kenilworth, and Mr Thomas A. Bussell, son of Mr W. Bussell, of Pukororo. The bride, who was given away by her father, was in a dress of white' Oriental-silk, with the customary vied and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and asters. She was attended by her sister. Miss Amy Cubis, and Miss Doris McGlashan. The former wore a silk voile dress and grey hat, and the latter wore a white voile over pale pink silk, and black hat trimmed with pal© pink roses. Both carried shower bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by Mr F. Sharp as beet man and Mr Bay Cubis as groomsman. The Rev. W. Tinsley performed tho ceremony. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a gold pendant set with rubies and pearls, while the bridesmaids received a gold brooch and silverbacked hairbrush and comb respectively. At the residence of the bride’s parents. Happy Valley, Waikoikoi, Otago, Mr Malcolm Robertson, of the Fiat, Tapanui, youngest sou of the late Mr Daniel Robertson, Tapanui, was married to Miss Janet Crawford, fourth daughter of Mr James Crawford, Waikoikoi, tho officiating minister being the Bov. G. Hercus, Tapanui. The bride, who was given away by her father, was in a dress of cream San Toy silk, trimmed with lace and ribbon. She wore a veil and wreath, and carried a bouquet of white and pale shaded pink sweet peas and fern. Her sister (Miss Bessie Crawford) was bridesmaid. She wore cream radianfca, with trimmings of silk and lace, black and white hat, with black plumes, and also wore a gold brooch, gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of crimson sweet peas. Mr John Robertson {brother of the bridegroom) was best man. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a plain gold .bangle, and the bride’s to the bridegroom gold sleeve links. The wedding took place at Knox Church, Waimate, on February 13th of Miss Grace Macfarlane, grand-daughter of Mrs Lumsden, senr., and Mr Charles Robert Henry Robertson, second son of Mrs Robertson, of Kaikorai, Dunedin. Tho bride was attired iu a dress of cream merv silk, with court train, trimmed with Maltese lac© and orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet, and was wearing a gold muff chain, the ■Sift of the bridegroom. Tho bridesr maids were the Misses Phyllis Mameur (Temuka), cousin of the bride, and Ruth Jones, and they were robed in crystalline trimmed with insertion, and wore Juliet caps. The best man was Mr G. F. M. Robertson, brother of tho groom, and Mr S. Price was groomsman. Tho bride’s present to the groom was a silver-mounted walking stick, and tho groom gave the bridesmaids gold brooches.
