The vessel was expected to get away last evening for ‘ Picton, Nelson and Onehuuga. She will return, via New Plymouth, to Wellington. The Makarini is expected at Wellington to-day from Wanganui. She Is fixed to sail at daybreak on Saturday for London, ARAWA FROM LONDON. The Shaw. Savill and Albion steamer Aiawa arrived in the stream at Wellington at 10.30 a.m. yesterday from London via Capetown and Hobart. After pratique had been granted the vessel berthed at No. L south. "Queen’s wharf, at noon. The Arawa left London on January 2nd, and arrived at Plymouth on the following day. The voyage was resumed, on j’auuary 4th, and Teneriffo was reached on January Bth. The Arawa sailed again after a stay of five hours, and reached Capetown .on January 24th. After coaling, she sailed again on January 2oth, and reached Hobart on February 12th. After putting out 800 tons of cargo the vessel resumed the voyage on February 14fh, arriving in Wellington yesterday morning. Fine weather was experienced throughout the voyage, the actual steaming tune for the 12,924 miles covered being 41 days 23 hours 52 minutes, giving an average of 12.82 knots per hour. The passengers took part in the usual deck games, and the trip throughout was of a highly enjoyable nature. Nothing of an unusual nature occurred during the V °saptain H. The Manuka, en route from Sydney to Wellington, advised by wireless yesterday that she would probably arrive in port at 10 a.m. to-day. THE WAIMATE. The Waimate, which arrived at Wellington from Montreal via Australian ports and Auckland yesterday, will have a brief stay here. She is expected to get away either to-day or to-morrow for Lyttelton.
