J. H. Bethune and Co. announce in our auction columns that at 2.30 p.m. to-day, in their rooms, they will submit to auction a property at Brooklyn comprising freehold land with a frontage of 60ft to Washington avenue, by a depth of 193 ft, adjoining the Anglican Church. On the land are two dwellings of six and five rooms, fitted with all conveniences. A residential property at Island Bay is also being offered, comprising freehold land with a frontage of 38ft to Adelaide road by a depth, of with sixroomed dwelling, having verandah, two bay windows, and all conveniences. The property is connected with the city drainage, and will be sold practically without reserve, and on eqsy terms. A sunny section in the Cooley Estate, Bower ffutt, will be offered. This section is No. 61, having a frontage ■or 44ft to Bristol street by a depth of 128Jft. Under instructions from the Registrar of the Supreme Court, the firm will sell three properties at Petone. Johnston and Co. will sell furniture, Axminster carpets, and two pianos at their rooms, Lambton quay. F. P. Welch, Masterton, advertises for a joiner and station hands. Tenders are required by the Public jWorks Department for erection of additions to the Government Printing Office, 'Wellington. The Eastbourne borough electors’ list is now open for inspection at the town clerk’s office, Featherston street. The Miramar electors’ list may bo inspected at the town clerk’s office, King’s Chambers. The Marine Department invites tenders for supply of 8000 sacks for the Government; oyster depot. Witoombe and Pym, Vivian street, are agents for the Humberette cycle oar, of which a limited consignment is arriving shortly. Passengers by the Corinthic, leaving for London to-morrow, are notified that luggage must be alongside the ship at the Glasgow wharf before noon and the vessel will leave at 3 p.m. Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd., are making a display of fashions for autumn and winter, special attention being devoted to velveteens, which are to hold pride of place in the eyes of well-gowned women. An advertiser has for sale a freehold boardinghouse, near a railway station, and well appointed.
