EVENING AT THE PIONEER CLUB

The delegates to the Kindergarten Conference were the guests of honour at a social evening in the Pioneer Club rooms last night. The rooms were de-i corated with pink and orange coloured lilies, and in the strangers’! room, where supper was served, tiny pots of asparagus fern decked the tables. Miss Richmond (president of the club) received the guests, and a programme of music was enjoyed during the evening. Aliss Alison Burnett gave a pianoforte eolo, Miss Alartin and Aliss Putnam, Air Fletcher and Mr Rankin sang, and Miss Hardinge-Maltby recited. Miss Richmond was in black brepe de chene; Mrs T. E. Taylor, black silk with touches of white; Miss Kelsey, black lace; Miss Matheson, white silk; Miss Gibson, also In white; Mrs Darling wore black lace over grey; Mrs Grey, black' satin with steel embroidery; Mrs Hammond. black silk and lace. Among the guests were: Mrs Herdman, wearing white lace over satin; Aliss Fraser, in black charmeuse partially veiled with green beaded net; Mr Justice and Mrs Chapman, the latter wearing shot claretcoloured silk with a lace scarf; Air Martin Chapman; Mr and Mrs Burnett, the latter in black lace over white silk; Sir Edward and Lady Osborne-Gibbes; Miss England, in shot green silk; Mias P. Myers, in grey charmeuse with crystal embroidery; Mrs Conzens. in black silk: Airs Corliss, in black satin coat with deep collar of pink Silk veiled in black lace; Airs J. Blundell, Mr Aliln, Mrs J. Myers, Miss Freeman, in green charmeuse with silk fringe; Aliss C. Freeman, in brown satin with brown and fawn embroidery; Aliss Riley. in striped grey niinon; Mr and Mrs Fletcher, Mr J. Darling. Airs Dali, Mies King, Aliss Isaacs, Miss Nash, etc.
