Mr J. R. Stansell is securing names to a. petition to the Minister of Railasking that all trains dispatched from ■Wellington or arriving at Wellington, to or from places beyond Palmerston North, should be handled at the Lambton station instead of Thorndon. This, it is urged, would greatly add to the comfort and convenience of the travelling public. The petition may be seen at the “ Times " office, where it is available for signature by anyone interested.
