The Kamona will not come to Wellington this week from Westport, having been diverted to another port. Tho Government steamer Hinemoa is due at Auckland to-day from Wellington, via the lighthouses. Tho Canterbury Company’s steamer Storm is now expected to arrive here tomorrow from Tarakohe, and will sail tomorrow evening for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. Dalgety and Co. advise that the coastal steamer Mangapapa is to leave Wellington on Wednesday for Westport and Karamea. . , . . Mr A. Brown, chief engineer of the Rarawa, has come ashore on holiday leave. Mr W. Guyan is relieving chief engineer, and Mr J. Jack has been promoted to second, while Mr J. McDonald, who served his apprenticeship under Messrs G. Fraser and Sons, and was until recently in tho Atlantic service, has joined the Rarawa as relieving third engin<Tho Tyser liner Makarini, due at Wellington on Wednesday from Wanganui roadstead will sail on Friday at daybreak tor London. „ ~ The Awahou aud Queen of the South stuck in the river at Foxton about a quarter of a mile from the wharf after sailing at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday for Wellington. The Queen of the South subsequently got off and arrived at Wellington early yesterday ' morning. The Awahou was still fast yesterday. She is duo at Wellington to-day, and is to sail this evening for Westport. ' Mr D. MoAlpine has succeeded Mr S. Munn as third engineer of the Arahura. A heavy south-westerly gale detained the Rarawa at Onehunga on Friday evening and tho trip to New Plymouth was abandoned. The vessel will leave Onehunga at 4 p.m. to-day. The schooner William Bowden, 635 tons, has been fixed to load timber at Columbia river for New Zealand. The auxiliary scow Echo arrived at Wellington on Saturday afternoon, in, ballast from Napier. The vessel left, Napier at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, and had, fine weather for tho first day out, after

Tho Huddard Parker steamer Victoria, which arrived at Auckland at 3.15 yesterday afternoon from Sydney direct, brought 69 saloon and 91 steerage pascengers for New Zealand ports. shortly after 8 a.m. on Friday the American four-masted schooner Robert R. Hind left Lyttelton in tow of the Lyttelton Harbour Board’s tug Lyttelton. Tho vessel was taken well off the shore, and with a strong westerly wind set sail direct for San Francisco. It is uudenstood that her ballast consisted of only twenty-five tons of shingle. The Haupiri is to leave Onehunga today for Now Plymouth and Wellington. She is due here on Wednesday. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Imer IMpbic left Timaru at 6 o’clock yesterday morning for Wellington, where she will berth this morning at the King’s wharf tor Homeward loading. The trawler Nora Niven arrived at Wellington on Saturday evening from Napier. The vessel trawled on the way down, but owing to very rough weather very few fish w-ere caught. Tho Nora Niven goes on the patent slip to-day for overhaul, Xno Scales Line steamer Clan Grant arrived at Port Chalmegs yesterday from Port, Pirie, to receive her loading orders. She will toad wool at Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton for London, and is duo at Lyttelton next Thursday. She will be followed by the Clan Stuart, which is duo at Lyttelton about the middle of March. MAPOURIKA RESUMES. Consequent upon an arrangement being arrived at between the Union Company and tho Seamen's Union regarding the manning of the stokehold, the Alqpourika will be recommissioned to-day. Tho vessel will sail to-morrow for Nelson and West Coast. ARAWA LEFT HOBART. The, local agents for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company have been advised that the Arawa, en route from London, left Hobart at o o'clock last Friday morning tor Wellington. The vessel is duo hero early to-morrow morning. THE WESTMEATH. ‘The F’oderal-Shiia liner Westmeath, pew discharging at. Lyttelton, is to leave there to-day for Dunedin to ■ complete dmofiarge. The vessel will subsequently load at Wanganui. Waitara, and Wellington. She is due here about March 3rd or 4th. and will go on to Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading. BUTESHIRE DISCHARGES TO-DAY Tho Federal-Shije liner Buteshire, from New York via ports, arrived at Wellington last evening and berthed at No, 6, Queen’s wharf. She is expected to sail at 5 pan, to-morrow for Lyttelton and Dunedin with remainder of cargo, WAIWERA LEFT RIO. Tho Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Waiwera, which left Wellington on January 18th for London, resumed her voyage from Rio do Janeiro last Wednesday afternoon. TYRONE DISCHARGES. TO-DAY. The Federal-Shire liner Tyrone, from Liverpool, via porta, berthed lost evening at the Taranaki street wharf to discharge part cargo. The vessel is expected to sail next Friday tor Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff to complete discharge. THE MORAYSHIRE ARRIVES. The Morayshire with cargo from Liverpool, under auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company, arrived at Wellington early yesterday morning and berthed at No, 16, south. Jervois quay; Tho vessel will probably got away to-morrow evening tor Lyttelton and Dunedin, and on completion of discharge will be loaded by the New Zealand and African Steamship Company, tor West of England ports. OIL STEAMER ARRIVES. Shortly after 11 o’clock yesterday morning the cargo steamer Cape Finisterre, from Now York, via ports, arrived at Wellington from Napier and berthed at No. 14, Jervois quay. The vessel has part cargo of case oils for this port consigned to the Vacuum Oil Company. KOROMIKO FROM NEWCASTLE. On Saturday morning the Koromiko, which arrived in the stream on the previous aiigbt, berthed at tho Railway wharf to discharge 3400 tons of coal and 220 tons of Umber from Newcastle.
