CHAMPION BREAKS ANOTHER RECORD. Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 14. ■ At the Waitemata Swimming Club’s carnival to-night i Champion established new figures for New Zealand in the halfmile, covering the distance in 12min 14 4-osec, 1 l-ssec better than tha previous best. Miss Annie O’Leary made an attempt to reduce her own New Zealand record for 100 yards of 84 2-ssec, but failed, Fer time being 86soc.
