GIRL FOUND SHOT
HER LOVER WOUNDED SERIOUSLY. SYDNEY, February 14. A girl named Myrtle Caldwell, twen-ty-one years of age, was found shot last night, and in a critical condition, in a shelter-shod at Lane Cove. William Wright, aged twenty-one years, a steward, and a recent arrival from England, who had been keeping company with Caldwell, reached nomc at midnight, and shortly afterwards was found shot seriously. It is stated that Wright prevailed on the girl to get an alternoon off to visit English ships in the harbour.
