WELSH CHURCH BILL
REJECTED BY HOUSE OF LORDS. LONDON, February 13. The House of Lords rejected the Welsh Church Disestablishment Bill by 252 votes to 51. “DESIRE TO COLLAR THE SWAG." (Received February 14, 9.35 p.m.) LONDON, February 14. In the House of Lords, Lord Crewe wound up the debate. Ho said that if the Nonconformists had accepted a penny of the endowments Oppositionists would accuse them of a desire to collar a share of the swag in the great robbery of the church.
