monthly meeting. The Makara County Council met yesterday morning. Present: Councillore Moore itaggerty. iayior, Eastwood, Monaghan, and Mona. It was decided to pay £25 to fhelvarori Borough Council, as the council 3 contribution in connection with the milo- - of roads. On the motion of the chairman it was decided to instruct the council’s solicitors to prosecute users of the road who do not comply with the rules of the road, and that notices be erected in the tvgahauranga Gorge to that effect. It was agreed to let Mr Hanson a' contract to construct a tunnel to carry water in the Ngahauranga Gorge so as to improve the roadway. Accounts amounting to .£464 were passed for payment.
