MELANESIAN TUCK BOXES

AN APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC. To the Editor “N.Z. Times.” Sir, Will you again allow me, through your columns, a little space in which to remind your readers that now is the time that 1 am collecting gifts, in money and in kind, for the tuck hoses. Wellington people make such a kindly response every year that I know that a reminder is all that is necessary. The Molenda chocolate, predigested beef, and beef and iron wine are .among the most valuable things that can be sent, and I am hoping to be able to send more this year. The grateful thanks I got for one bottle make me long to send more. Miss Mestayer, of Sydney street, Wellington, my kind and able helper, receives anything that the, kindly public will send her, and forwards it on to me. Packing begins early in March. Thanking you for this space,—l am, etc..

LUCY CALDER, Wife to the Commissary to the Bishop of Melanesia.
