SENIOR CADETS INSPECTED

All the Wellington senior cadets were inspected by the Commandant (MajorGeneral Godley) at tire Drill Hall last evening. There was an excellent muster. General Godley presentd to tho Y.M.C.A. cadets tho cup which was won by their A team at the Christchurch military (tournament, and handed to SergeantMajor Farkes, instructor of the JNew Zealand cadets who visited Canada, a gold-mounted walking stick inlaid with greenstone. N The cadets performed a number of evolutions, after which General Godley addressed them, ilo said he was very pleased at the manner in which they hod drilled, and urged the various companion to emulate the example set by tho Y.M.C.A. corps. Ho also complimented the New Zealand cadets for their excellent record in Canada, where they won the majority of the contests at the cadet tournament. Regarding the arming of the cadets with rifles. General Godley said that the Government had ordered a supply from Horae, sufficient to equip every cadet. It was his wish that senior 'dadata would shortly be been participating in field work.
