ST. HELENS HOWIE INQUIRY
Press Association. . AUCKLAND, February 11. The St. Helens Homo inquiry was resumed to-day, wh-jn the Commissioner was occupied all the morning hearing legal argument on the point that was first raised yesterday afternoon whether the complainants in the inquiry should be permitted to. inspect certain books kept in connection with the admimstraton of the Hospital. The Commissioner decided to state a case for the Supreme Court as to whether or not there was power to throw the hooka open for inspection at the inquiry, and if so whether it was discretionary power.. The cross-examination of Dr yalintine by Mrs Nicol was then continued. He stated in answer to questions that ha considered that Dr Inglis took every precaution in carrying out his duties at the home.
