Henry Chaplin, Unionist member for Wimbledon division of Surrey, refuses to acquiesce in tho Unionists’ decision as regards tho postponement of the food duties question till after a second election. Ho regards such postponement as likely to jeopardise or indefinitely postpone preference, and declares that the panicky abandonment of food taxes ii not calculated to appeal to the electors.
