DEFAMATION CASE
VICEROY REMITS PORTION OF SENTENCE. RANGOON, February 9. Tbo Viceroy of India has remitted eight months of the year’s sentence passed on Mr Arnold ill October last for defamation of the District Magistrate at Merguij whom he accused of wrongfully acquitting a British officer charged with the abduction of a native girl.
