MUNICIPAL ELECTORS

GREATER WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Greater Wellington Municipal Electors’ Asociation was hold at the Chamber of Commerce last evening. Mr J. G. W. Aitken presided. The chairman announced that the various municipal electors’ associations about tho city had been amalgamated into this Greater Wellington Association. On tho motion of Mr H. G. Hill, it was resolved that all present, numbering about twenty, should become the first members of the association. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. Some discussion took place regarding the election of office-bearers. Tho chairman was urged, to accept the office of president, but declined at first. Mr A. Leigh Hunt assured the chairman that ho would bo a most acceptable president, and would galvanise the association into activity and usefulness. Mr Aitken said he was not discouraged by the smallness of the meeting and accepted tho office, amidst loud applause. Other officers elected were: Vice-presidents, Messrs A. Leigh Hunt and H. G. Hill; executive, Messrs E. Wylie, A. E. Odlin, T. O. A. Hislop, W. Thompson, J. S. Barton, O. Shirtcliffe, and E. J. Colley. 1
