THE INSURANCE ACT
AN EXTRAORDINARILY SUCCESSFUL BEGINNING. (Received February 9, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 0. The House of Commons,, in committee, agreed to the supplementary estimate for the Insurance Bill. Mr Lloyd George declared that the Act had made an extraordinarily successful, beginning. Fourteen million people were paying contributions, and five thousand receiving sanatoria treatment. Mr Lloyd George said that 13,000 doctors were working under the Act.
