LABOUR’S DEMANDS
FIVE 'DAYS A WEEK. LONDON, February 6. The ballot taken by the Miners’ Federation on the five-day week proposal has resulted in a majority- of 60,000 in its favour. The Federation’s Committee has referred the result to a special conference. SIX HOURS A DAY. SYDNEY, February 7. The Labour Conference unanimously has added the principle of,six hours a day to its fighting platform.
