TRADE UNIONS BILL
IN THE HOUSE OF LORDS. (Received February 6, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON. February 6. The Trade Unions Bill was read a second time in the House of Lords without a division. Lord Haldane said it was a fair settlement of a very difficult question. Lord Lansdowrie said the Opposition was not hostile to the Bill, but trade unionists not desiring to participate in politics must be protected.
