INTERNAL AFFAIRS
PROMOTIONS AND CHANGES. The Government has decided to establish a special branch of the Internal Affairs Department dealing with local government. Mr G. P. Newton, at present chief clerk of Internal Affairs, will take charge of this work with the designation of Assistant Under-Secretary. To fill toh vacancy, Mr P. J. Kelloher, clerk in charge of the Government Advertising branch, becomes chief clerk of Internal Affairs. Mr A. R. Kennedy, accountant in Internal Affairs, takes up the duties of clerk in charge of tho Advertising branch, in addition to h's present duties. Tho Advertising branch, which is at present located in the Public Trust buildings, is being moved to tho Government buildings, in order to be more immediately under the supervision of the Under-Secretary, Mr J. Hislop. The Public Service Classification and Superannuation Board’s offices are be ing moved to tho Public Trust Building, taking tho rooms vacated by the Advertising branch.
