SCOUT MOVEMENT

DISTRICT COMMISSIONER RESIGNS. Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 6. Owing to departmental reasons Mr Horace Stabbing, of the Lands Department, and head of tho scout movement in Auckland, has been forced to resign his position as District Commissioner of Scouts. The appointment of Mr Stebbing’s successor as District Commissioner has not yet been settled. It is in the hands of Colonel Cossgrove. of Christchurch, who is Chief Scout Commissioner for New Zealand.
