CHEESE-MAKING INDUSTRY
association formed in bush DISTRICTS. Press Association. EKETAHUNA, February 5. Twenty-nine delegates, representing nine factories, met at Eketahuna yesterday, and decided to form a Bush Districts Cheese Factories’ Association for the benefit of the industry. Matters covered by the discussion were joining the Employers’ Association, purchasing farmers’ supplies in bulk, the carriage of cheese, railway insulated vans instead of trucks covered by tarpaulins, regulation of local prices weekly instead of fortnightly, Home shipments, opening up of outside markets, method of weighing and Home sales, freights, and more extended account sales. A further conference will be held to adopt a constitution.
