ATTEMPTED MURDER
A WHITE SLAVE TRAFFIC CRUSADER. (Received February 6, 0.16 ami.) LONDON, February 6Knight three times attempted to murder his wife by means of poison, strangling, and drowning. Grimes participated in Knight s srusade against the white slave traffic, wherein Grimes’s position in a clothing factory was useful. Knight, under the name of King, stayed at a farm in Sussex since October, learning poultry farming prior to emigrating. Grimes, posing as his wife, accompanied him. Knight was absent at week ends, for three weeks at Christmas. After his disappearance he returned to Susses and took Grimes to the Ballarat.
