There were besides, bran tubs, a fish pond, and outside, a Punch and July show, shooting gallery, and fortune telling. Mr Bell was introduced by the Mayor, Mr H. N. He also presented the bandmaster, Mr F. L. Dean, with a silver mounted baton from the members of tho band. Three cheers were then given for Mr Dean and for Mr Bell. Afterwards Mr Bell was besieged by an eager crowd of helpers, and made to take his own advice. During tho evening the band played some selections, and an orchestra also played. There were a great many people present, and judging by the business done the band should benefit very considerably by tho fete.
