MOUNT COOK HERMITAGE
QUESTION OF ACCOMMODATION. Press Association. I’IMARU, February 4. Mr Buxton, M.P., who was a member of the Mackenzie Government when the plans for tho new Mount Cook Hermitage were adopted, made a statement in reply to Sir John Findlay’s criticism that the new building should have been made much larger and a billiard room included. Air Buxton says he had to cut the coat according to the cloth, the cost of the building according to the accepted plan being as .niff! 1 as the Government were justified in undertaking at present. Moreover, people interested in the Hermitage say that the building will bo largo enough for the immediate future.
