Ward, of Dunedin, returned from a month's visit to tranco last > v eek, and h.as gone on to Scotland until the cud of January. _ , Aiiss Jessde A. Scott, M. 8., Ch.B., and Mr C. C. lies. M. 8., Ch.B., both ot Now Zealand, have been awarded the M.D. or Edinburgh University. Mr i. wuldegrave. of Wemngton, and his daughter, Mrs Atkinson, who are at present in Venice, hope to spend Christmas in London. . . , , , . Mr Edgar 0. Handle, of Auckland, is likely to remain in England until June next. , , . Mr F. J. Lysnar, of Devonport, Auckland. is staying at Upper Norwood, S.E. Mr Uarry Uranston, of W ellington, arrived in London early in November on a brief visit. Me leaves for the United States in January, but will be back in buglaud in April. . Mr and Mrs J. J. Sheehan, of Invercargill. have been spending a tew weeks with relatives in Devonshire, and will be in Nottingham for Christmas and Now Year. „ ~ Miss M. K. Stewart, of Dunedin, ar ; rived, in November on a three months visit to friends in Scotland. Mr J. C. Hynes, of Wellington, who recently arrived in London, via Canada and the United States, went on to Scotland. ~ Mrs Murray Gardiner, of Dunedin, who, with her husband and family, has been in England for some time, recently underwent an operation in a nursing home, but has now, happily, recovered. Mr and Mrs W. A. Parton, of Wellington, who have been in England for about three months, return by a January boat, 'i'hey are at present n Scotland, but will be. in London for Christmas. Mr P. T. Eussell. of Invercargill, who arrived in London a month ago, left last week for Paris, where he will stay until the end of January. From Paris Mr Kuesell goes bo Italy, and will not be back in London until early in March. Miss Elsie N. Barnett, of Dunedin, leaves England for the United States in January. In Chicago, Miss Barnett will be joined by her brother, and. together they will spend a couple of months with New Zealand friends now resident in Mexico. . , Mrs Pattison, of Gisborne, whose sister. Miss “Violet Toewill, was married recently, and will live in England in future, returned to New Zealand on Friday, after having spent some years here. Mrs Pattison has a brother. Dr Toswill, in Gisborne. _ . , Mr A. B. Jefferies, of Dunedin, arrived in London a fortnight ago, and is likely to stay for about six months. Miss Maria Banchop, th© musician of Wellington and Bunedin, who has been in England for over a year studying, has just received word that ene has obtained her L.E.A.M. degree.
