The death occurred on Saturday afternoon at his home, Upper Opaki, of Mr John Colquhoun, a well-known and highly-respected settler of this district (says the “ Wairarapa Age ”)• The deceased, who was about sixty years of ago, was for a number of years buyer for the Gear Meat Company. He had been failing in health for some time. The late Mr Colquhoun was for several years a member of the Masterton County Council. He leaves a large family of sons and daughters.
