JAPANESE CRUISERS

VISIT TO AUSTRALIA, MELBOURNE, February 1. The Admiral and officers of the Japanese cruisers Adzuma and Say® were entertained by the Federal Government. The Prime Minister (Mr Andrew Fisher) said that the geographical relation of Australia and Japan made the countries neighbours. He hoped the two peoples would always be friends and co-operate to enable that friendship to bo deep) and lasting. There was sufficient scope for all enterprising people, and it could be said that Japanese enterprise and vigour made their name honoured throughout the world. The Admiral, in replying, said Japan would always bo anxious to enjoy the friendship of the Anglo-Saxon people, whom all his countrymen admired.
