ROLAND GARROS RECEIVES AWARD. PARIS, January 31The Academy of Sports has awarded Roland Garros 10,000 francs for his aeroplane feats. Boland Garros is one of the meet famous of French aviators. Ho won the Paris to Rome air-race some years ago, and holds the altitude record with a height ot a little over 20,000 ft. Ho also recently flew across the Mediterranean from Tunis to Sicily and on toItaly.
