BRITISH ARMY
SUPPORT TO TERRITORIALS STATEMENT BY" MR WINSTON CHURCHILL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received January 31, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 31. Mr Churchill, speaking at Dundee, stated that the British army, though small, was nourished on military science, and possessed originality and experience, placing its ablest officers on the level of any of those in Europe. Ho urged the steady driving power of national support to assist the Territorials. Ho said that the long antagonism between England and Franco had led to tho fortification of every inlet on the south coast, but that antagonism had ceased without a rupture. Now tho strategic front had. changed to tho East Coast, and he hoped that we might look forward to find ourselves on the best of terms with another great Power.
