MOUNTAINOUS SEAS SEVERE THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright SYDNEY, January 31There has been a heavy thunderstorm and hurricane at Glen Lines. The rainfall will benefit the crops. During a dust thunderstorm at Armidaio the telephone wires fused. Li one residence the inmates' received a shock. Other districts report severe thunder and lightning following the heat wave. BRISBANE, January 31. A cyclone is raging at Cairns, there being terrific wind, rain, and mountainous seas on the coast. Shipping is sheltering. Slight damage has been done to houses. At Port Douglas the young cane crops were affected. ADELAIDE, January 31. Cyclone disturbances are reported at Port Darwin, accompanied by heavy rain.
