“ HIGH-HANDED PROCEDURE ”

TOKYO, January 29.

Wheeler, a British manufacturer, has been arrested and put in gaol at Yokohama. Bail and legal advice were refused him.

Th© Consul-General is intervening. Wheeler represented the Genz and Wheeler Cpmpany. Ho obtained so many orders for knitting machines that deliveries were behindhand. The firm believe this caused trouble, and opine that the authorities are guilty of highhanded procedure.
