Arrangements have been concluded whereby tho Peninsular and Oriental Company represents tho Cunard Company’s interests in India, the Far East, and Australia, while the Cunard Company represents the Peninsular Company in tho United States and Canada. These arrangements aro supposed to have originated tho unfounded amalgamation rumours which were current about a week ago.
