WESTLAND RACING CLUB
IMPROVEMENTS TO RACECOURSE. Press Association. HOKITIKA, January 28. The Westland Racing Club has resolved on extensive improvements ana alterations to the racecourse, involving an expenditure of £ISOO. The track is being much improved, as are most of the conveniences. Bettor totalisator facilities are also to be provided. The works are to be completed by January next, -when the Westland goldfields jubilee will bo celebrated, and to mark that event the club proposes giving a Jubilee Cup, the event being worth 200 sovereigns.
